Talk Tones Method

This system takes the frustration out of your child learning how to speak. It incorporates evidence based principles for speech, language, cognitive, and social development and looks at all of your child’s strengths to help target their areas of need. Your child will want to practice through singing along to fun songs that are arranged/organized in a way to promote systematic growth moving from syllables to word productions within the same session for long term deeply ingrained results. Your child will love using musical instruments and moving to the rhythm of the beat. Their speech will become automatized and you will love the results you see with your child as they want to engage and communicate with you.

There currently is not a system/method in place that combines the principles of speech development and music. Sure there are songs out there for “speech” therapy, but I can tell you from experience they do not follow any of the rules a speech pathologist knows to be true about speech development.

In my program I am:

1

Reviewing all the current research on brain development, speech development and music.

2

Developing a manual teaching the main principles of the system, empowering parents and therapists to feel like they can be confident in their abilities to use music techniques and see progress in speech development.

3

Creating a list of original songs and exercises with up to date music genres as I can tell you from personal experience that children with significant language delays are more drawn to “Up Town Funk” and “I’m Happy” pop and rock music than they are nursery rhymes.

4

Providing energetic music with principals of acoustic science and language development to increase your children’s attention span and decrease frustration levels.

“As a professional music teacher, I am inspired and impressed by Jenn Anderson’s incredible techniques in utilizing music with speech therapy. While she is already an outstanding speech therapist and shines in her trade, she is now stepping out of the box and bringing her own musical talents into her therapy, creating a new, fresh way to heal and restore. I highly recommend Jenn Anderson! Her patience and kindness will encourage you and your family as you walk through this journey of speech therapy!”
